Unbounded Sounds

Unbounded Sounds Music Series is dedicated to contemporary sonic exploration through collective creation.
Founded by Sofia Labropoulou, the series began in 2025 as a platform for deep musical dialogue across traditions, practices, and artistic languages.
The 2026 edition focuses on trio formations as active laboratories of sound.
Within this format, balance and tension, structure and freedom, individuality and interaction coexist.
Internationally acclaimed artists collaborate with Austrian and Austria based established musicians, engaging with modal traditions, improvisation, experimental approaches, and interdisciplinary perspectives.
Each concert is paired with an artist led workshop taking place on the following day.
These workshops offer an intimate glimpse into the artistic processes behind the performances and create space for exchange beyond the stage.
They are open to musicians, composers, and curious listeners, functioning as sites of transmission, reflection, and collective learning.
Unbounded Sounds understands sound as a living, evolving material, formed through attention, presence, and encounter.
By linking performance and pedagogy, the series engages in a conscious effort to cultivate a new urban tradition: one that belongs to Austrian and Viennese society, is shaped by its diversity, and remains open to transformation.
